Aventis Systems is a technology solutions provider specializing in hardware distribution. Its strategic alignment with emerging trends—such as AI server demand and quantum computing hardware—positions Aventis as a scalable platform for growth. Aventis presents an attractive opportunity due to its dual revenue streams, potential for expansion through vertical integration and hardware warehousing capabilities.

Cortavo is a full-service IT managed services provider that delivers end-to-end technology solutions designed to simplify and stabilize business operations. By offering predictable pricing, proactive support, and scalable infrastructure for both on-site and remote teams, Cortavo helps businesses eliminate the unpredictability of IT costs and reduce operational friction. Cortavo presents a compelling opportunity due to its alignment with key investment trends in the MSP space—particularly its focus on cloud services, mobile device management, and cybersecurity

Acquired Critigen managed IT services division as a regional add-on for Synoptek. This carve-out aquisition strengthened Synoptek’s position as a leading IT planning and management services company, enhanced its ability to offer improved IT functions, better scalability, and robust security at a lower cost. Acquiring high quality carve-outs as add-on acquisitions can create value.

Aquired Earthlink’s IT Services division as a carve-out and add-on to Synoptek. The acquisition of Earthlink enhanced Synoptek’s presence in the Eastern US and delivery capabilities. This was Synoptek’s 3rd carve-out acquisition.

In 2013, Synoptek acquired the managed services division of FusionStorm, forming a new entity—Synoptek LLC—that combined FusionStorm’s MSP capabilities with Synoptek’s existing cloud and IT services portfolio This strategic add-on allowed Synoptek to expand its footprint in the managed services market, enhance its delivery of private, public, and hybrid cloud solutions, and serve a broader, performance-driven customer base.

Synoptek acquired Indusa, a global technology firm specializing in enterprise software solutions, to expand its business systems consulting and worldwide service delivery capabilities. This strategic add-on enabled Synoptek to offer a more comprehensive suite of services—including predictive analytics, AI, business intelligence, and cloud migration—while deepening its expertise in platforms like Microsoft Dynamics, Azure, and Magento

PayPerCloud was a tuck-in acquisition for Synoptek in 2015. PayPerCloud bolstered Synoptek’s cloud hosting and managed services provider offering virtual private servers, private cloud infrastructure, SaaS hosting, disaster recovery, and consulting services. PPC’s strategic direction focuses on serving micro-niches such as county governments and healthcare, leveraging its infrastructure and expertise to deliver secure, scalable, and cost-effective IT solutions. The acquisition strengthened Synoptek’s customer-facing presence in California and enabled high-touch service delivery in Sacramento.

QuickStart Technologies was a software engineering and technology training business. We worked with QuickStart Technologies to restructure the firm, reposition the firm as a technology training company and orchestrate a management buy-out.

Aquired a small managed services firm and grew it into a global systems integrator and managed IT services provider that delivers advisory-led, full-lifecycle technology solutions to over 1,200 clients across industries. With a workforce of more than 1,100 employees. Synoptek has built a resilient business model focused on mid-enterprise customers, offering services such as cloud migration, cybersecurity, business intelligence, and infrastructure management . Synoptek is well-positioned for continued expansion.

Teams+ is a proprietary suite of communication and analytics tools purpose-built to enhance Microsoft Teams voice solutions for enterprise clients. Its offerings include advanced texting capabilities, omnichannel communication via the 360° Communicator, real-time queue analytics, call recording, and outbound dialers designed to triple call volume for collections teams With integrations planned for platforms like athenahealth, Salesforce, WhatsApp, and Dynamics CRM, Teams+ is rapidly evolving into a unified communication hub that bridges UCaaS and CCaaS environments.

Eric Codorniz

Founder & Managing Partner

Eric Codorniz is the Vice President of Sales and M&A at Synoptek. As a leader with over 25 years of experience in Business Technology and Consulting, Eric has led multiple successful ventures and brings deep expertise in sales leadership, M&A, and strategic growth.

At Synoptek, Eric leads national sales efforts, supports business development teams, and drives strategic growth initiatives. He was foundational in building Synoptek’s consulting and service delivery capabilities, shaping the company’s strategic direction, and fostering long-term client relationships.

He brings deep entrepreneurial insight from launching and exiting multiple ventures, and remains passionate about helping clients solve complex business and technology challenges. Beyond his professional achievements, Eric is committed to giving back to the community. He actively mentors aspiring entrepreneurs and is a trusted advisor to various startups. His dedication to fostering innovation and supporting the next generation of leaders reflects his passion for technology and business development.

Eric holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Vanguard University of Southern California.

Tim Britt

Partner, Investments

Tim Britt is a three-time CEO, advisor and technology services leader with more than 25 years of experience building, scaling and exiting high-growth companies. Best known for his role as the founder and longtime CEO of Synoptek, he grew the firm into a $130M global IT services platform, pioneering the modern MSP service portfolio, completing 13 acquisitions and expanding operations across North America and India before leading its sale to Quad-C Capital. He now serves as Synoptek’s executive chairman.

Through his newest venture, Targhee Capital, Britt partners with technology services leaders and private equity firms to accelerate growth and create long-term enterprise value, offering capital, strategic guidance and a community of peers.

Earlier in his career, he held leadership roles at QuickStart Technologies, Information Consulting Group and Ourhouse.com (acquired by Amazon), and began his career in consulting at Kurt Salmon Associates. He holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Tech and an MBA from Kellogg School of Management.

Craig Brechner

Partner, Advisory Services

Craig Brechner is a Southern California based technology leader, entrepreneur, and investor with nearly 30 years of experience in the telecommunications and IT sectors. He has held senior leadership positions with Verizon Communications, Telmar Network Technology (Ivy Technology), and Synoptek.

As a founder and operator, Craig has successfully built and exited multiple companies, including Phoenix Telecom Solutions and TEK Medical Systems. His latest venture, Zurich Technology Solutions, serves mobile network operators, utilities, OEMs, and government agencies with critical spares, repairs, and equipment supply. He brings deep expertise in scaling businesses, operational excellence, and M&A strategy, having guided companies through successful growth and exits.

Craig has served on the Business Technical Committee of the Competitive Carrier Association (CCA) and as a board member of the Entrepreneur’s Organization (EO) of Orange County and as a board member of Alder. He has been a frequent speaker at global technology forums and universities, including Futurecom Brazil, ITU Geneva, CTIA, Quest Forum, and Oxford University’s Saïd Business School.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in enterprise economics from Florida Atlantic University, an MBA from Pepperdine University, and has completed executive education at Harvard Business School. He is also a graduate of Stanford’s Graduate School of Business SEP program.

Today, Craig partners with founders, investors, and management teams as an Affiliate Executive at Targhee Capital, where he helps businesses scale, optimize performance, and unlock long-term value.
